The US is nowranked the highest in the world for suicide. Until recently suicide amongst the young men andwomen accounted for less than 5 percent of suicide. It hasincreased with the increase in population of youth. Youngmen 15-24 now account for more than 20 percent of the malesuicides. Young women ar responsible for 14 percent ofwomen suicides.
